How this is worked out

All figures ex GST. Because your staff are already rostered for the quiet periods, their wages are treated as a sunk cost and left out — only true variable costs (product, towels, card fees) are subtracted. Contribution per filled hour = discounted price minus variable cost; annual figures assume a 52-week year at your stated fill rate.
